A program of LifeSpire, the owner of five of Virginia’s premier continuing care retirement communities, AgeSmart brings the continuum of care to people who want to stay in their homes and age in place. AgeSmart members have access to some of the amenities at LifeSpire communities, as well as access to higher levels of care on the LifeSpire campus if they’re at some point no longer able to remain in their own home safely.

Comprehensive coverage – As a member of AgeSmart, you’ll receive a lifetime of care and services. No matter how much care or services you need or for how long, you’ll have the security of knowing your needs will be covered. Unlike Medicare or long-term care insurance, there are no limited benefit periods, elimination periods or strict criteria for accessing coverage.
Care management – AgeSmart members benefit from having a knowledgeable team of care coordinators to answer their questions, arrange services, and perform follow-up to ensure the services provided meet the highest-quality standards. The care coordination team is composed of professionals familiar with local caregiving resources. Your personal care coordinator will work with you to understand your goals, advocate on your behalf, and ensure you get the information and services you need.
